The 7th Design Licensing and Business (DLAB) Support Scheme
The DesignLicensing and Business (DLAB) Support Scheme has come to the 7th edition, which is organized by the Innovative Entrepreneur Association (IEA) and is sponsored by Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It aims at helping young character designers and owners of other young intellectual properties (IPs) to promote their IPs and grow their businesses through a series of activities, including training, business matching, sales pitching, and exhibiting at the Hong Kong Pavilion in the HongKong International Licensing Show 2026 (HKILS 2026).
A Study mission to Greater Bay Area will be held with aims to support home grown IP owners and character designers to understand more of burgeoning GBA market potential and connect Hong Kong’s home-grown IP owners and character designers with potential partners and Mainland/GBA buyers.
DLABis the acronym of Design Licensing and Business. We hope designers can fully utilize our support scheme to learn more about licensing their designs and IPs and growing their business successfully.
DLAB can also be read as Design Lab, a pun with association of meaning that whenDesign meet Business, collaboration will be fostered and positive chemistry inspired with unlimited potentials. In this “Lab”, designers can share their bright ideas freely and let their creative synergies collide here.
Note: IEA has made application of the 7th Design Licensing and Business (DLAB) Support Scheme from Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, pending final funding approval. The schedule and scheme details may adjust subject to the final approval.
